A dream that opened its doors in the old Remington's building — and never left Main Street.
In 1983, Laura Tarr Morris opened Tara's in the former Remington's menswear space on Main Street in Delta. Forty-three years later, the doors are still open, the awning still reads “We Dress You Right,” and the shop is still hers.
What started as one woman's leap of faith has become the destination Delta County votes for year after year — Best Clothing Store in both the Delta County Independent's Best of Delta County and the Montrose-Delta Beacon's Best Awards. Not a chain, not a franchise — a shop built one loyal customer at a time.
That history deserves to be the first thing people see when they look Tara's up — not buried on a broken page. This concept puts it back where it belongs: right up front.
